PATTERN MACHINES magazine issue #1 - The Chameleon: Art & Artifacts
We are all PATTERN MACHINES.
From the depths of perception, something stirs; a hint of recognition sparks something new in the individual. People are patterns of their own; people are patterns and they are pattern-machines.
An individual generates visual or auditory patterns, bits of information which additively comprise an ourve, a terroir, a master pattern which has the ability to influence others on a personal level. These words, images, conjurings are not patterns in and of themselves - these components additively coalesce to shape a concept, an idea, an emotion into that which can be recognized as a pattern.
This inaugural issue of PATTERN MACHINES celebrates and investigates the creation of the book "THE CHAMELEON AND OTHER AWAKENINGS", an illustrated collection of Psychedelic SF short stories.
Titled ART AND ARTIFACTS (#1), this issue contains larger format prints of the original artwork as well as heretofore unseen "artifacts" - concepts, development images, and process breakdowns showcasing a convergence of human artistry and open-source technology.
